Accommodation
St. John's Cottages are small and simple: still of the same size and attractive appearance as the 1805 original, but brought up to date.
Each cottage is ideal for two adults, and cottage 2 can also accommodate a child. One small and well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement.
Parking is available in the form of a small car park.
Tariffs - 2024 Prices
(Per cottage, not per person)
Cottage no. 2 - £520 PW
Cottage no. 6 - £450 PW
£20 per person for bed linen & towels. Alternatively you may bring your own.
Dogs are welcome for a cleaning surcharge of £60.00
Bookings can begin & end on any day of the week provided we have space.
We urge our guests to take out holiday insurance at time of booking.
Cottage Number 2
Number 2 is larger than number 6. Its first floor is a suite of 3 rooms: bedroom with double bed, smaller bedroom with single bed, and bathroom with full sized bath.
Kitchen
Off the living room is a larger kitchen than Cottage no. 6, with full electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, sink unit, work surface, china cupboards & door to garden.
Electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, ironing board, etc.
First floor - Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 with double bed, bedroom 2 with single bed.
Bathroom
Full-size bath, basin, WC, electric heater & shaver point.
Living Room - both number 2 & number 6
The front door enters the cosy double-glazed living room with open coal-burning fire & storage radiator.
Portable electric heaters & coolers are provided. Flat screen TV with Freeview.
Free WI-FI in all cottages, comfortable armchairs, dining room table, table lamps, framed prints & watercolours.
Gardens
Cottage number 2 has its main lawned garden at the front with an enclosed garden at the back.
Cottage number 6 has a small enclosed garden at the back and looks onto the herb garden at the front.

Kitchen
Off the living room is a small modern kitchen with full-size electric cooker, microwave & small refrigerator, stainless steel sink, small work surface, china cupboards & door to garden.
Electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc. Iron & ironing board included.
Bathroom
Also on the ground floor off the staircase lobby is a small bathroom with shower, wash basin, WC, electric heater and shaver point.
Bedroom
The cottage has one bedroom,
approached by a well lit staircase with hand and grab rails on the inner side.
Twin beds can be pushed together to make a double bed.
